Liliana Pena embodies dedication and versatility in her role as Executive Director at Woodbridge Montessori Academy of Sachse. She joined WMA in March 2023, and her journey is a testament to her commitment to excellence and passion for fostering growth in others.
Hailing from the culturally rich region of South Texas near Corpus Christi, Liliana embarked on her academic pursuits at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, immersing herself in Early Childhood Education and Psychology. Liliana's professional trajectory is marked by a remarkable blend of experiences, reflecting her resilience and adaptability. Her tenure in various roles gave her a strong leadership and team management foundation. Her exemplary performance earned her numerous accolades, a testament to her unwavering commitment to excellence. While raising five children, she cultivated invaluable skills in nurturing, guiding, and instilling a love for learning within her own family.
Liliana's leadership philosophy is rooted in compassion, empathy, and a deep-seated belief in every individual's potential, further enriched by her fluency in Spanish. She leads by example, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement. Liliana finds solace and joy in spending quality time with her family and two dogs outside of her professional endeavors, cherishing each moment as a precious gift.

Sofia Watkins
Program Coordinator
Sofia Watkins, a Dallas, Texas native, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role in child education. With a career spanning well over a decade, Sofia's journey began in 2007 as an infant teacher, marking the beginning of her unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds.
Over the years, Sofia's roles have evolved, illustrating her versatility and unwavering passion for childcare. From her beginnings as a cook and leader of gym activities to serving as an administrative assistant, Sofia has enthusiastically embraced new challenges. Her journey reached new heights when she transitioned into the role of director, a position she held for 2 ½ years, demonstrating her growth and leadership within the field.
Despite a brief hiatus to work as a bus driver for WISD, Sofia's dedication to child education remained steadfast, ultimately leading her back to the childcare industry, where her heart truly lies. Alongside her professional endeavors, Sofia finds joy in her personal life. She celebrates 25 years of marriage and cherishes time with her three boys and beloved Yorkie dog, Bella, who holds a special place in her heart.
With her deep-rooted passion for childcare and wealth of experience, Sofia Watkins continues to make a meaningful impact in children's lives, nurturing their growth and development with care and dedication.
